2012.05.05 Full Moon Sunset from Currimundi Beach

2012.05.05 - Full moon rising over Currimundi Beach, and then looking west up the lake... the Sunset!  MAGIC!!!

Tomorrow night the 6th, will be what we know as the 'Supermoon' when the moon is at its closest to the earth, but until then enjoy todays sun and moon energies...

2012.04.09 Sunset from Ann St, Currimundi Beach

Monday 9th.... the last of my holidays (kids still get another week - not fair), but even though I was all geed up for a sleep in... my body clock was thinking otherwise!!

5.45am... rise and shine... 'go catch a sunrise' my mind was saying, whilst I raised one eye lid to check the time...OK Milo, let's go then (as he looks at me with those big brown puppy dog eyes - don't worry, I do say 'no' occasionally..)!

So as I followed the sun this morning, this was what she returned...

Gratitude for the cloud band that delayed the show till I got there..

Footsteps in the sand... someone has walked before me!

Ann St Pandanus - clearly hanging on to life!

by its toes...

As the rays start to shine...

and the sun begins to glow..

such a glorious site to behold!

Sun rise and rays...

as the waves crash onto the rocks in the morning light...

Mans best friend..

Some nice surf to the right of Ann St rocks..

A great day to catch a fish... or at least try!

Pandanus silhouette ~ reaching out to the light....

Full moon still to set, but bright reflection due to sunrise!

Namaste..

2012.03.12 Snapper Snaps

The getaway... so it was Monday and the forecast for the week was basically wet, wet, wet.  Well for the most of it, it was overcast with threatening rain clouds, a shower every now and then, the wettest day being Thursday... so this was about the closest I got to seeing the sun - a good start to a restful holiday to capture the last of the sun, and then enjoy the rain (well, rainy day activities with the family like ten pin bowling, movies, watching the boys surf etc).

So before I hung up my camera for the week, here were a few snaps taken from Snapper Rocks of a couple of the locals, and all that I was going to get of the Sunset...

Enjoy...

A couple of locals surfin' Snapper... can you share a wave???

 longboarder enjoying the ride..

I just liked this surfboard... so pink and girly! :)

Loved this guys style... surfing on a body board!

The local entertainment... never a dull moment at Snapper Rocks

Alex surfin' Snapper Rocks on his new (used) surf board! (umm, yeah, I think that was
'Thanks mum and dad for busting the fins on my board!)

 She tried to shine through...

a bit of mixed colour in the sky and on the sand...

 Beam me up Scotty!

 The last sunlight...

So I hope you all enjoyed your past week as much as I did!

My thoughts go out to those who have not fared so well with recent floods etc, and impending weather systems...

Cheers for now... have a great week, until the next sunrise!

Namaste...
