2012.02.06 Moffat Beach Sunrise

Today aroused an interesting mix of emotions... with the good being my mama's birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA!! xoxo

...and then the sad with the family, friends and fellow surfers of a middle aged surfer who lost his life to the oceans force at Moffat Beach on Sunday 5th Feb.

 I headed to Moffat Beach  to capture the sunrise for all of these reasons... oddly the ocean was calm and tranquil and the sunrise serene, with the sweet colours from a clear sky and just the band of cloud on the horizon to add to the suns effects.

Anyhow, today is Monday - the start of this week, so here are some inspiring captures of this mornings sunrise to hopefully get you through the week!

2012.02.04 WindanSea Boardriders Comp at Moffat Beach

What a day, the surf was pumping, the grommies were keen as to get out into the surf, and best of all - the sun was actually shining!

2012.02.02 Currimundi morning

Just a few pics from this mornings jaunt along the beach (between showers!)..   from the Sunshine Coast QLD!  (did I just say "Sunshine" out load?)

Save the Ann St Pandanus... this local is teetering on becoming one of the many victims of our 

coastal beach erosion - it is literally hanging on by its roots, sand has been placed around the base 

to give it a fighting chance... until the next high tide...

2012.01.10 Wahu Surfer Grom Comp at Coolum Beach

Another great morning of sun, surf and sand... well, probably a bit more cloud than sun, but no rain and good surfing conditions for Day 1 of the Wahu Surfer Grom Comp held at Coolum Beach run by SurfingQueensland.  I was only there for an hour or so with Nan & Pop witnessing what the grandsons hobby is all about, so only captured on camera 4 of our local WindanSea groms, Noah Kearney, Kane Landsberg, Sterling Mitchell & Alex Hearne.
