When I am looking for a bit of 'calm' in my life.. I love to head to the lake. The gentle flowing waters are calm and tranquil, the landscape serene, peaceful, and although it feeds off the ocean, it is like they are worlds apart!
I am blessed that the lake runs at the end of the street we live, so tranquility is only a brisk walk away. The bridge on the other hand, is rampantly busy, but it is my platform to view up and down the lake, so that I am able to capture those moments of serenity. It also joins us to the other side. Sometimes man made construction is handy like that.
