Watchtower by moonlight

Gratious to the Universe
See my story below.....

I stepped outside my door last night to bask in the full moons light
I wasn't prepared for what I saw, such an amazing sight

I stood in awe as I looked up, the dark sky full of cloud
But it was the pattern that had me catch my breath, and not whisper a sound

It was like watching the ocean, just upside down - a rippling wave like effect
And once I recovered from being in awe, I raced to capture this subject

I love the moonlight when it reflects of the ocean so I raced to my favourite haunt
To capture again Mother Natures art, you know she loves to flaunt

Heading up the path to the lifeguards tower, the trees haunting in the moonlight glow
The tower standing tall and strong in all elements that nature shows
Then standing at the top of the beach, the moonlight glistens through the cloud
reflecting off the gentle waves, casting a music that has a special sound

I zoomed in close for that full moon shot behind the fluffy cloud
which illuminated through the spaces that the sky gods thought they found

Then up the beach a lone fisherman decided to test his hand
to cast his rod and try his luck to see what he could land

Then as I turned to head for home I had to take one last shot
of my favourite haunt day or night.... and this was what I got!

A new sunrise...

Finally I have been up to capture another Sunrise..... it is verrrry hard to get out of bed in the morning, but the excitement of what Mother Nature will bring me to capture helps a great deal!

This sunrise was captured off Currimundi Beach (Buderim St, Ann St Rocks)
Hope you enjoy... (unfortunately I was running a little late so missed the gorgous pink in the skies that I could see upon leaving my house - was I kicking myself... YES)!

Pet Collage

We acquired this cool Llasa Apso a while back, & although it took us a little while to work out all of his quirky habits, he is now at home... keeping us amused & being good company!
Our latest images of 'Milo' were at Alex's birthday on the beach while he came racing back towards me from the sand dunes, they looked a bit odd on their own so I created this collage instead... bringing him to life! :)

Printed on canvas, this is definately a treasure to keep for years to come!

Except for the bad habits of pinching socks either out of the laundry or out of the bedrooms (& then I find them buried when I am out doing the gardening) we love you Milo!! xoxo

Gosh, where is the year going...

WOW, I cannot believe that it is June already.... Winter.... fresh, crispy mornings... cooler water temperature (for the surfers)... extra jumpers & blankets, uggboots, heaters even!

So what have I been doing??? Well trying to snuggle up under the blanket in my flannies & uggboots of course!! :) I do prefer the warmer weather in many instances though.

But here are some of the other things I have been doing to keep me busy...
Alex's Surfing Birthday - yes he's 12 now.... (stay tuned - I am still processing these ones)

for now, till then...
